This is a really capacious bag. Mine easily fits two M43 bodies with lenses attached (one 14-140mm zoom and one 100-300mm zoom), with room to spare for another lens and loads of accessories. I've replaced the padded insert for one of the camera bodies with a similar-sized beanbag for added versatility. The rear opening makes this backpack very secure in use - no-one is going to steal your kit when it's against your back! The large front pocket accommodates some small accessories and an 11" laptop; its double zip can be secured with a padlock or a Velcro-style tab threaded through the pulls if there's a concern about it being opened when the pack is on your back. There's a carrying handle too and the bag doesn't easily fall over when placed on the floor. Overall, this is a well-designed camera bag. There are loops for attaching Lowepro's ZipLock pockets and mesh pockets on both sides for water bottles and the like. The shoulder straps are well padded and comfortable.Read full review

The product is great and it does what I want it to do. You are able to adjust the inside of the bag to make it adaptable for your equipment. The pocket on the front is great for items that you don't use too much out in the field but easy to get at should the need arise. Both sets of straps are adjustable to make it easy for you to fit it round the waist and depending on what you are wearing on the day. Just ensure that when you open the bag that you have one hand under this as the zips can go right to the end without warning. I try to open these no further than about 75% supporting the base when getting out my equipment that is required when I am shooting. There is a space for your tripod/monopod and the straps at the top are adjustable so that you can utilise what you need to take when you are out and about. Built in rain cover so that you can protect your equipment should it start raining although you would need to take your tripod/monopod out if you did this. Have a case handy for these items if it looks like rain. Myself I rate this product very highly as it is a solid product that is very well made.Read full review

I have the smaller Flipside 300AW which is great but my photo gear has outgrown it. Given the extra internal space the 400AW overall is less bulky than I'd imagined, although it still provides the high level of protection I've come to expect from Lowepro. The Flipside provides great security too as the camera and lenses is only accessible once you've taken the backpack off, and if you have to lay it down on a damp surface that the dampness against your back when you put it on again. The outside pocket has twin pulls which could be secured by a luggage padlock if I feel it's vulnerable say in a city or crowded place. The interior layout of the backpack is very versatile and the partitions can be configured to suit the camera kit you want to put in it.

I was running out of space on my old, smaller, Flipside. This is just what I need. And just as I thought, I was running out of space again on this one, I discovered the worth of the extra storage room on the front. The bag has lots of padding and movable deviders and very sturdy belts and hatches.

I was under no illusion as to the authenticity of this bag and will use it occasionally. Doesn’t have the quality of genuine product and is not ridged enough to keep its shape when filled with gear. If you want quality pay full price. Although country of origin are good at reverse engineering products I found that most of the time quality suffers. Ok if you want cheap camera bag but be aware it is not a lowepro!!
