Can't recommend this - not easy to ignite gas - better off with a device that produces a hot flame or a Ferrocerium rod n striker. Not even worth as a back up when the cheap mechanism is available in any cheap house-hold gas lighter too.

On the pricey side - but you’re paying for MSR so you know it’s quality. I used it last night on a wild mountain camp Brecon Beacons at -5c in the wind and it worked perfectly. Very pleased.

This was to replace an older larger piezo that I'd been using for years. Very reliable for lighting any form of gas stove. Not suitable for gas lights with delicate filaments though. Good build quality. Lacks a suitable attachment point for a cord, which would be a nice addition.
