I purchased one of these really to try out something other than the usual X type stands for a larger, heavier, synth and I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised. It is solidly constructed, easy to adjust and surprisingly stable. I currently have a very large Waldorf Wave sitting on it and there is little in the way of excessive wobble. I'd definitely buy another one of these. Dan.

Talks a good game but, as with everything you'll regret not going for a better quality one. It is unstable, poorly constructed and has some sharp edges that will cut you and damage your equipment. The 'telescopic' nature of the width adjuster would be a good idea if they were the same shape- in fact the male part is a thin circle tube sliding into the female part- which is square (I know right?) This means you can't get a secure fit. Also this has no guide or safety stop- so you pull til you think it's the right width then suddenly it will fall into two pieces. Paint is scratched off in places, the legs rattle and are ill-fitting, screw knobs come off in your hand, the 'rubber' feet are just rigid shiny plastic, so you simply can't get it to hold anything securely. The legs do fold away, but this depends on what mood it's in. A poorly made, poorly conceived and disappointing bit of kit.Read full review

This is a stable and tough enough lower end keyboard stand. As a 'lower end' keyboardist I find it a little odd that a stand that is both strong enough to take the weight of a full sized keyboard and stable enough to keep it from jumping off when I'm playing costs more than the (Admittedly 2nd hand) keyboard. I should point out that my playing owes more to Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis than Behzod Abduraimov or Wojciech Żywny. I'd suggest you analyse your own playing style if you're uncertain how solid a stand you need, but I can tell you that this stand can take it, and at a very reasonable price.

The stand is very sturdy and will be adequate for my intended use. I have no long term experience using this type of stand so I cannot offer an opinion as to its service life.

Adjustable and sturdy. Easy to collapse if needed. Well worth the extra compared to the criss-cross pop up ones. Great to sit at and chair tucks under the stand .
