What an amazing device. Every wood burner owner should have one. All you have to do is light your fire, take this fan out of its box and put on top of the stove. Once the heat starts to convect the fan will start. I like the way the fan speed varies according on how much heat the stove produces. Had a coal laden fire one evening, fan going full on and 3ft away it felt like a fan heater blowing warm air. Seriously, this is a brilliant device, wish we'd bought one or two years ago as makes a real difference in heating. No more heat going up to ceiling first before getting to sofa level.

The fan begins to turn when the stove-top temperature reaches 50 Celsius. Generally it's quiet in operation, but does sound a bit tinkly at certain speeds. I haven't noticed an instant improvement in comfort or a reduction in the fuel consumption - time will tell.

I recently installed a log burner in my 4 bedroom Caravan, 6kw, external flue straight away. Felt like I did myself out of a lot of heat. Bought this fan thinking it’s a lot of money for a fan, but it’s great quality can’t help but be noticed, not a single noise from it when running. And pushes the heat through the room and Caravan much better than just radiating from the burner itself. I highly recommend this fan, you’ll not be disappointed. Side note: I could be wrong but I feel as time goes on, the fan is starting to spin at a lower heat.

I do not normally buy things that sound too good to be true, but for once I am glad I did. I am in a cottage dating from 1875 and have just completed renovations, it is large and heating last year cost £1200 in wood and coal for a multifuel burner. I have tried this fan and was surprised to find that instead of stoking the fire many times through the day to keep the room warm and get heat into the rest of the house, using one fan on the stove kept the room at 22 degrees all day (24 hours) on one load of coal with the fire 'closed down'. I now have two fans using the same coal load and the heat is already moving into other rooms. I am now considering an experiment to see if a third fan and a little ingenuity can take the heat into the rest of the cottage. That is something I would not be looking into if this fan was anything less than effective and good value. Just for the record, I anticipate that this year my heating bill for the cottage will be reduced by half at the very least.Read full review

Bought two of these stove fans. Placed one either side of the stove pipe towards the back of the stove..Fantastic!!! gets the warm air circulating from the wood burning stove into the room and through out the cottage very quickly.. Made a big difference to the average room temperatures on these cold winter days.. The fans are silent, compact, seem well made and very well priced. I guess these fans will have paid for themselves in the space of couple of months as I am using less fuel but getting better heat circulated from the stove. If you are thinking of buying one.. at this price I suggest you buy two, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.
