This is genuinely a game changer if paired with excellent components including interconnects that allow it to display it's sonic attributes. Make sure it's plugged into something that allows great power conditioning to run of it. It really cannot be faulted, it's not in the league of dCs , EMM Labs etc.. but give it a chance against a decent Simaudio/Marantz CD player it will sonically battle toe to toe with a great sense of air, dynamics and imaging etc.. These come up as bargains and are extremely genuine back up players as and when called for.

I had one of these already but wanted one for antother system. These cd players play anything! They play stuff other players do not like scratched cd`s within reason. They are super reliable and dead easy to operate. The only thing that went wrong with mine in probably 20 years was the display failed however this is only two small bulbs. Richer Sounds fixed mine at no extra cost than the basic send away inspection charge.

After the first play, the tray stopped working. Fair enough after 20 years, possibly not used much. Luckily a yellow elastic band found in kitchen fixed it. Saved about 10 quid there! Sound quality is noticeably superior, controls logical, display helpful. BUT...in common with many vintage players, it's no go on home-burned CDR. Hence only three stars. Check the reviews and you can find better liked NAD models. Even so, I am very happy with mine.

Paired with my Nad amp and Kef speakers this is great for my old CD collection.
