You get what you pay for.
This is just a terrible product. It LOOKS to be a competent piece of kit, it was easy to set up, but the pick up is dreadful. I don't know if I have to always be 5cm from the mic but for it to pick anything up clearly but if it was a decent mic you wouldn't HAVE to be permanently 5cm from it. And I work in a silent room - this thing just doesn't pick up anything, and there is no gain control on the mic to make things better. Also came back to the mic tonight to find it had suddenly dropped down so the mic was almost upside down on the holding arm. This despite me being very careful to tighten all the turning screws up properly, and it had maintained that for a few days, and no, it had not been knocked in any way, or even moved. Doesn't bode well for the quality of the fittings, either. Cheap, but that's the only good part.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Microphone maybe cheap but it sounds great
I use this mic in Reason 10 and have to say it performs very well. The hole in the mounting bracket is a little to big for the pin at the end of the arm so there is a little to much play but thats not really a bit problem for me. It comes with a XLR cable that has a mini jack at the other end which was no good to me so I had to buy an XLR to XLR to use it with my system. It also needs phantom power (48 volts) the dynamic range seems fine for what Ive been using it for so over all Im really happy with this mic it sounds great for vocals and looks quite nice to. This Microphone kit is great for any beginner or professional for any bedroom studio. Great for podcast, YouTube , videos doing piece to camera etc. Worth the money and if you don’t have enough funds for the more expensive microphones. This is a great starter studio kit.
