Excellent lens for the MFT system. I use it with my small Olympus PEN epl9 so it does look quite big on that camera. However, it is still incredibly light weight considering its' focal length. I haven't had much change to use it due to a foot injury, but I did manage to get a nice shot of the last supermoon with it. The shot was handheld so probably could have been lot sharper with a tripod. Just want to try it out with birds / wildlife now, once I can walk properly! The lens does extend out when you zoom, with a very slight rotation of the front glass. But, even fully zoomed it is still very manageable due to the light weight. It is a plastic lens but still feels solid and I have no issues with the construction quality. If it was made of metal it would be a lot heavier and difficult to manage on the small MFT body. It doesn't come with a lens hood but got the JJC compatible one (Olympus one was stupid money!) and this fits well (although makes it look even bigger). Bought via SRS Microsystems - excellent next day delivery which I wasn't expecting.Read full review

For a lens of this focal length range it is compact and lightweight. It is not a pro lens but is still well made and gives confidence of being sufficiently robust. Focusing is very fast and quiet on my EM1 (Faster than the Lumix 100-300 that I tried). Image is very sharp even wide open in the 75-200 range but as you approach the 300mm focal length sharpness softens a little. Stopping down to f8 improves quality noticeably and with M4/3 cameras normal ISO being 200 this can be OK as long as the light is reasonable. In the focal range covered by my 40-150 pro it is difficult to see any difference in image quality and it is a very enjoyable lens to use. Even at the full 300mm really nice photos can be made just stopped down slightly (The example I have attached was shot at F7.1)

I don’t like carrying heavy lenses around so this is fun to use with exceptional range. This lens is slow at full zoom but focusses fast. With a high ISO and fast shutter speed you are able to get pretty good shots hand held. It is probably best used on a tripod but not always feasible with fast moving wildlife.

This lens produces outstanding images at 75mm. The quality drops off slightly as the focal length increases, but images are still excellent at 300mm. The barrier to getting good images with this lens is holding it steady at the longest focal length. With a tripod you will get great results every time. You will need a steady hand for hand held shots.

Good rateable lens specific to my camera. Image quality brilliant. Easy to use and hold as is light weight. Not been off the camera since arriving. Great for bird and wildlife photography as well as aircraft and trains. Photos taken using this lens
