I first bought the cat flap, which can only be installed in a very thinh door, unless it's a glass door, I have never seen a wooden door that thin! So I had to buy the tunnel extension. To fit the tunnel you have to cut the sides and connect them, but once you cut the sizes only 2 bits connect, the other two you need to maybe glue to the door. I didn't have any plastic or wooden glues o I stacked a tape on the sides to hold the 4 pieces together. Adding the cat flat was also difficult as the door cut needs to be very straight and precise. To fit the tunnel I had to cut a bit more the sides and I almost didn't have space for the screws. I had to improvise a little! The other thing is that the screws that come with the cat flap are either too small or too big. So you have to cut them otherwise it looks ugly or may hurt your animal. I had to borrow a mates tool to cut the nail, which was a nightmare as I had to also file the nail otherwise the washer wouldn't go through. So it is not so straight forward if you are not a professional carpenter. Next time I would rather buy a cat flat comes with the tunnel like I have in the past and installed it very easily.Read full review
