A decent atlas. OK, it's the 2015 edition and it's now 2018. I doubt too much as changed! As a route plotter it's just fine. I look forward to using it for our planned road trip to Spain (and back).

Road atlases have become quite difficult to find in these technological times but I needed a good old fashioned back up in case of satnav failure- not unknown! This atlas has clear maps with lots of detail. The different scales enabled us to make a broad plan for our journey while the more detailed maps provided motorway avoidance information when needed. The only downside to the atlas was that being large and spiral bound it was a bit unwieldy at times. Consequently the most frequently used pages quickly became dog-eared. Still, plenty more pages left for future destinations! Bet it lasts longer than my satnav.
These are the best, the clearest, the easiest to read and follow. Ring spine means quick and simple page to view. I always keep a Philips road atlas in the car as a belt and braces back-up for the sat-nav. Fail-safe!
