I am a 70 year-old man, recently advised to lose weight and take more exercise. This is the third device I have tried, primarily as a step-counter, and, in the end, probably the best. My main criticism is that it took a great deal of trouble to set up - I have got new PCs up and running with less trouble. It is designed to work in occasional association with a computer, and software is downloadable. The problem was, the device itself several times just went dead, and only time seemed to revive it. It comes with the info that it will need to charge its battery, and the implication that it carries sufficient charge to be set up and initiate the process. I suspect, with hindsight, that the existing charge in mine was very marginal, and it took several tries to get it charging from the usb connection. Eventually everything was working, and I now wear it all waking hours most days. You will need the manual, which is not supplied but is available on line. The device is fairly clunky - some of my shirt cuffs won't button over it. Ideally, I might have preferred a device that didn't require the PC association, but couldn't find one with the capabilities this has (which depend on the PC only for the most convenient display of records). So, a qualified recommendation.Read full review
