This tool worked perfectly well for me but care is needed as you have to line up the driving pin with the link pin squarely. There are no instructions so you may want to watch a few You Tube videos to learn how your strap is assembled. For example my strap has split pins that can only be pushed out in one direction and have to be returned in the reverse direction. I found it better to gently tap the pin back home rather than use the tool when reassembling.

For the money, it would be hard to beat this as a quick repair tool on value for money. There are a couple of problems that I encountered: The actual pin punch ought to be case hardened steel as mine bent quite easily, although the manufacturer does include several spare punches and the threaded clamp shaft fits too loosely in the base, so turning the shaft is not positive and often means the punch end is off centre and somewhat difficult to align with the watch pins.

This product will do the job once - maybe twice if you're lucky as the pins break very easily. The thing to remember is the price you pay for the item is much less than you'd pay a jeweller to do the same thing as a one-off. Therefore you could argue if you enter into buying it knowing it'll do it once (maybe twice) then you're quids in, but don't buy this expecting it to still be working after a couple of watch straps.

The frame of the tool is made of metal so strong compared to previous ones. The pins supplied could have been stronger. I used all pins supplied to adjust my new watch strap as three snapped.

I didn't expect a high quality product for the money paid, and l sure didn't get one. The main problem is the adjustable plate it is very loose and frankly does not work. To be fair, l did manage to remove two links in my watch bracelet after getting my son to assist. I would say it was cheaper than going to the jewellery store to get the job done but oh what a fiddly job.
