If you like Max Richter and you also like Vivaldi, then this is a treat. We first heard it put to contemporary ballet by the New English Ballet Theatre, the performance and music combined were magical.

I had no fault with the technical quality of the recording but was most disappointed by its artistic quality. I really couldn't see the point of the exercise. Richter's 're-composing' added little value to these wonderful concertos.

For me it is not a question about the justification or not of the re-working of an old classic - the question is, 'Is this good music?' It is not - despite being given the 'visual' of the DGG label. It's just no good and, in places, ugly and, in others, pointless.

If you like Vivaldi's Four Seasons you will love this, a truly wonderful re-imagining keeping a nod to the original whilst taking it somewhere else and in a way making one look and listen to the original in a different way

Heard this in full at a record store and just had to buy it. I love the original but am open to interpretations and this is brilliant,! If you have an open mind, and like classics, jazz and electronics, this will appeal.
