This is the most common Renaissance live release and comprises 2 CDs of their mid-70s set in good, clear stereo. My copy is the Repertoire release in a jewel case - it's more often on sale as a later remix in a card sleeve. An extended 3 disc version is available but this duplicates many of the usual tracks on the third disc and tends to be double the cost. The live set includes tracks from Ashes are Burning (1973), 2 from Turn of the Cards (1974) including a great performance of Running Hard and the whole of the epic title track from Scheherazade (1975). The extended live version of Ashes are Burning which closes the album is a fine climax to a great live set. Whether a confirmed fan of Renaissance or into mellow prog-rock in general this is among the better live releases of the 70s. The only disappointing aspect is the uninspiring illustrations on the sleeve and limited information in the booklet - but it's the music that matters most.Read full review
