Generally, the model is excellent, the parts fit together well, material is sturdy and well shaped. My only negative comment is that I was disappointed that the main undercarriage wheel don't rotate, It would have been a simple thing to extend the stub axle and make a capping to glue on so that the main wheels turn. The tail-wheel rotates! Really enjoyed building the model, It passed the time during my self-isolation for the Coronavirus pandemic.

Some elements to this model are a bit disappointing. For example where there should be a locating pin to make a nice robust sub assembly, sometimes there is no pin, which makes assembly quite difficult. The building of the cockpit area is quite fiddly. Mind you, my eyesight isn't as sharp as it was, which doesn't help!

. It is a model of a late Mk IXc. Supermarine Spitfire that is very good for the price. Quite adequate in detail & fit. You can buy at least four of these. Compared to the excellent Tamiya Spitfire kits in the same scale.

The kit is rather basic, especially in the cockpit area. I'm surprised Revell haven't attempted to portray the underwing radiators correctly. There may be other faults. I'm making enquiries about relevant aftermarket correction kits which will increase the cost but allow me to make a reasonable scale model of this famous aeroplane.

Really fantastic model kit - a quarter the price of the Tamiya spit 9! More simple build - yet turns into a great model! I can recommend this kit for hobbyists on a budget!
