having been a fan off pink floyd for many years now i was very curious as to how the royal philharmonic orchestra would sound playing some music off pink floyd, i was not dissapointed when i listened to the cd for the first time, it was a great listen and sounded so very dramatic which is what i was expecting from an orchestra, i have to admit its not something i will play all the time but the cd is a great novelty cd to have in amongst my collection of pink floyd cd's.
As far as I am concerned this is a stunning CD. Firstly I am a Pink Floyd fan and secondly The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra play their music fantastically. Its so dramatic and the clarity is just brilliant. Love it love it love it love it. I would definitely buy more music by the RPO. Well done xx
A very good example of how to interperate classic rock and still keep the overall sound of The Floyd. I use mine in the car mostly and can sing along without upsetting anyone. The album is well produced and the selection of tracks are the most popular mainly from Dark Side, Wish you and The Wall. Good value, easy listening, which most Floyd fans will appreciate.
This was definately a different take on pink floyd - but was well worth listening too - especially if you don't mind a bit of classical too!
