I had contemplated buying a steam cleaner for some months but was always sceptical about the true worth and capabiity of such devices - until that is - I discovered this particular Russell Hobbs unit advertised at what I thought represented exceptionally good value for money compared to many other types that I had reviewed. The unit was easy to assemble and performed fautlessly in use, giving truly excellent results. The only real fault came when first attemting to fill the reservoir, a design oversight has the mains power cable in the way of the filling orifice.

Easy to use and attach cleaning cloth. Quick to reach steam power. Not as useful as my previous steam cleaner as the previous one took apart so could be used as a hand-held product for doing other cleaning jobs.

I bought this item as a refurbished product because I didn't want to spend too much money as I had done before on a steam cleaner only to bin it a few months later. All of my ground floor is covered with porcelain tiles with an attractive colour of grout that I really want to maintain. Whilst a mop and bucket is good it is rather labour intensive. The steamer however is much easier to use, has a nice long electric flex. cleans my tiles beautifully and the pad is easy to wash through. Very pleased so far.

I have a small kitchen but the floor is not easy to clean with a mop. The dirt is ingrained in the tiles because I have been lazy. The only way to clean properly is on hands and knees! This little machine has made quite a difference after one steam. I tried it on my kitchen mat and it has worked quite well but the mat is old and too mucky to make a real difference.

Large expanse of Karndean flooring + 2 cats = frequent floor cleaning. Having wasted many hours with a mop and bucket, decided to spring for one of these, being in a hardwater area, wasn't prepared to spend much. Unpacked and clicked together in a couple of minutes (cheap feeling plastics at this price point) fill tank (takes slightly more than the 250ml on the included jug) to max, plug in, turn on, 30 seconds later, steam. Lightweight and easy to use, brought the floor up a treat: point of note: if using the mop constantly as I did, you are unlikley to achieve 15 minutes of cleaning, maximum 8-10 minutes. Floor isn't left overly wet afterwards, I always dry off with a towel to ensure no streaking. Imo, a handy gadget and worth the asking price.
