A comprehensive text book for anybody undertaking their SVQ2 in Health and Social Care. As somebody coming to study this subject at the comparatively late age of 64 and with my school days far behind I found this book very useful and easy to understand.

Excellent for anyone working towards their nvq health and social care level 2. Every aspect covered in an easy to read format. Quite a large book so I am glad I got the paperback as it is lighter. Would recommend anyone starting in care work to get this if they can. I have read reviews that people studying for their nvq level 3 who have not got their level 2 were recommended to just get that companion book as it contains all the information in this book as well, this is much better though if you are just doing level 2 as it goes into a lot more detail about hands on caring whereas the level 3 companion book only touches on these things as a reminder and is more concerned with legalities of care work, human rights etc.. That is covered in this book but not to the exclusion of the hands on stuff.Read full review
