Cheap but effective. One kilowatt per hob is enough for usual everyday cooking for one or for two people and, when running it thro' a normal 13 Amp socket, leaves 950Watts for another appliance (a small oven in my case). I like it. However, I do wish that makers of electrical appliances would provide an in-built timer such that it switches off after a pre-set time; I am elderly and alone and I fear collapsing with the cooker on and setting the house on fire! Health and safety? Yes, and common sense. I have obtained a 30 minute timer plug but a variable in-built timer is the real answer.

I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation and I just needed a temporary hot plate, this is definitely not a hot plate! It keeps clicking off and cooling down, I could cook my food faster under a tea tree candle... I know it’s not really for making a full Sunday dinner as it is only a potable hob but you should be able to make a bacon sandwich with crispy bacon, it just take forever to cook anything I would really recommend it.

Portable great little cooker. Use it when I haven't got my Rayburn on. Also use it when off out in my caravan. Excellent value for money.
