I've mostly had Samsung touch screen mobile phones but with my last upgrade tried another brand without touch screen. I couldn't believe the difference - I could not get used to not having the touch screen. Therefore, purchased this Samsung Galaxy Ace as a replacement. This is very user friendly, although I find that I have to charge the battery more frequently than before; maybe it is due to using the internet more often. The music player vulume is unfortunately not quite as loud/clear than could be, that is my one criticism. I don't know if it could be the earphones that came with the phone - possibly. Overall, I would say that it was a good buy. The phone has lots of useful features and it was reasonably priced.
Brilliant purchase. Absolutely everything you'd ever want from a smartphone. Android is incredible. I am satisfied with the purchase of the galaxy ace. The touch screen is very responsive, performance is great and gps connects instantly and is very accurate. My previous phone I had to wait 10 minutes to get a signal. However, where the Ace could've gained even better performance, would've been if it'd had more ram, say 512mb instead of 280mb. Also adobe flash isn't supported, however if rooted, you can activate a flash enabled browser. Overall, it's great value for money, having inserted a 16gb micro sd, I have ample storage space. It has a very close resemblance to the iPhone 4. A lot of the features are the same, as well as performance and screen size. And best yet, most apps on the market for android are free.Read full review
I very much like this phone. I'm bound to say that it's much better than my previous phone as this is the first "smart phone" that I've had and therefore has masses of features that I haven't previously enjoyed. The most useful has been the map facility especially when needing to find petrol, cafe and other such things. My previous phone which was a much simpler Nokia was a doddle to use by comparison. This one can sometimes make it difficult to end a call - I've worked it out since. Another thing is that it takes quite a while from switch on to up and running. I can understand this as channel flicking on a modern TV takes forever with so many channels for it to scan through. All in all, I'm very glad that I bought it. It was quite a bargain at £70 and seemed not to have been used at all.
I am extremely pleased with my Galaxy Ace, the first 'smartphone' I have owned. I only use it for basics like text/calls etc, & have no internet connection as I am abroad & it is expensive. I doubt that I will ever replace this phone.
good phone does what it says on the box well pleased with it nice looking phone best phone I have had , and ive had a few started using them when they were the size of a house brick and nearly as heavy
