Well I've only just got this and only taken a few trial shots so too early to give full appraisal. It's very compact and solid looking lens and seems to be just what I wanted. It's light but has a good solid feel about it. Looks well constructed. Came with a small bag for storing. Excellent value compared to the Fuji original fish eye, need to take out a mortgage for that one.

This all-metal lens with built-in lenshood and tactile aperture detents was a surprise. I expected an amusing toy, but in truth it is somewhat more than that. The lens is tiny, light-weight and very solid in it’s construction. It is capable of very sharp results if stopped down to f8 - 11 (much wider than that and edges and corners are not as good as they can be). Distortion is high because this is an uncorrected lens, one of the reasons it is so cheap, but I find it quite acceptable and it can be corrected to some extent in software. Performance is broadly comparable to, and possibly somewhat better than the Voightlander 12mm f5.6, if you got a good one. The Voightlanders suffered excessively from batch variation. There is no metadata as the lens is not in contact with the body, so no autofocus, either. Manual focus is easy and dof is vast, even if you don’t want it to be; In fact the lenses focus point might as well have been fixed like the old Contax. Flare is no more of a problem than with any other super-wide, but keep an eye out when shooting into the light. Realistically, if Fuji made their own 8mm, I have no doubt it would be superior in every way, but then it would cost over £1000. Is this lens capable of serious results, images you could submit for publication, for example? Yes, with a following wind, if you know what you are doing and the light is good - it’s limitations can be overcome under those circumstances. Recommended, but if you can spend more you should.Read full review

I find this lens to be excellent value for money. It far exceeds the expectations I had for it, given the price point. It is well built and is well behaved. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I bought this to try with my Fuji X-T2. It's so wide you need to check that your feet are not in the picture. Easy to focus thanks to intelligent manual focus help of Fuji, but anyway if you're shooting 1m f8 basically everything is in focus.

Great little lens. Take some very unique shots with it.
