Independent Love Song is the tune that everyone will remember from this album - it was huge but not as huge as it deserved to be. The passion and raw emotion that went on to fuel their second album, Chemistry' is tangible here. Forget TATU and other wannabes these girls rock when they want to and the lyrics speak as much to men as they do to women. My stand out track is still ILS but only because I loved it so much back in the '90s - 'I didn't want a Virgin' is so near the knuckle with the angst of finding the right person and resenting their past that no one who has been in that situation could fail to identify with it. It's an album of its' time but when the audible bubble gum that was The Spice Girls was clogging the airwaves it's good to know that intelligent and passionate songwriting was carrying on quietly in the background. If you don't know their work take a punt - I doubt you'll be disappointed. if you already know their work and want to feel something as strong but more up to date try The Reasoning 'Dark Angel'.
