This is a great hard drive for data storage and standard computer use. I bought this drive to transfer my music and photos across in order to free up space on my Caviar Black drive. The drive is almost as quick as the WD Black, is much quieter and more power efficient. If you are a standard computer user who wants a reliable, decently fast drive for average use this would be my recommended hard drive.
Having recently upgraded my main computer to a core i7 I was looking to build another computer, as a file server, using the old parts and wanted a 7200rpm hard drive. This one fitted the bill really well, it is quiet and fast (for a SATAII drive) so worked out to be a real bargain as I did not want to spend more than 10GBP on a drive. Drive came already formatted and combined with the 90-day warranty it is good value for money.
