This item worked very well even 1 handed while opening the calipers the narrow end makes it easy to insert into calipers even when fully closed they are a bit flimsy so once you can get the stronger end into calipers you will need to to continue opening I found these a very good tool for the job Even if the flimsy end bends during operation you just shut them together and they straighten up.

As others have said, this is not a well made bit of kit. Mine arrived with the paddles bent out of true. Fortunately the metal is so soft it was easy to bend them straight again. That said, once that was done it worked very well. How long it will last is anyone's guess.
