So there is a reason this is the cheapest 4way rasp available, it is a poorly finished tool. The flat is not flat (I bought 2 and both are off) and the file edges are raised and will need dressing before its of any use at all. The stamped file pattern is poor an the rasp uneven. I can’t comment on the steel quality, should be ok for plastic/wood. Having said that it is super cheap and should be able to do some ok rough work. Hence 3 stars, cheapness makes the quality Ok for the price. Would have been unhappy had I paid more.

Got the rasper for doing wood jobs quicker. Didn't realise how quick this little jem of a file could take off wood. Doing wood jobs in half the time. Small file with four different files on it and also a handy size. Grt little file.

So cheap that you can almost use it once and then not worry if it's fit for another job afterwards. As it happens it was really great. Super rough one way, and medium the other, both in round and flat. Working on a one piece rosewood electric guitar neck, I found it was great for basic shaping, and I would recommend it.

Either this is a copy of a Silverline rasp or their quality control is poor. It's made from a really soft alloy and I had to file down the edge of the rasp to get rid of the raised edges from the cast. After a few minutes with a file, it's a nice little tool. I bought it mainly for the 2 course rasp sections and they perform well on wood.
