The nut spinners need holes drilling in them, so that the thread the nut is on will fit inside them, then they can slide down it and engage the nut. If more than a minimal amount of thread protrudes from the nut they don't work. Consider 1/4 inch drive sockets and a 1/4 inch drive adapter for your drill.
