When this film first came out in 1951 I was 7 years old, my parents took me to the pictures to see it and from that time on it gives me great pleasure to watch...Why? Its one of those films that can take you away from the harsh reallities of the world we live in and take you into another world a happy one.The songs are enlightning for instsnce "Good Mornin Good Mornin" "Make em Laugh" and of course the timeless classic"Singing in the Rain".And the dancing by Gene Kelly,Donald o Conner,Debbie Renolds,is superb. All in All I think it`s Great.....MK
Many good things can be and have been said about this one and they're all true. It's a great movie. The title number gives us Don Lockwood (Kelly)...In love as no other person has ever been in love, no doubt. He steps out the door and it's raining but he's oblivious to the rain. Who needs an umbrella when you've got wings on your heart and on your feet? Not the incomparable Gene Kelly as he treats us to THE single finest moment in the history of cinema. Do not miss this one.
i like this film as it made a change to watch a film with no swearing at all it was a pleasure to watch , with brilliant dance routines and scores to match will watch it again and again . why can`t they make films like this anymore?.
i bought it as a xmas present for my gran she loves all the old films. ebay is the very best way to shop no standing in queues of people and teying to fight your way through crowds of shoppers
If you like singing and dancing and a 'feel good' old fashioned movie, then this is the one for you.
