Like all Sonic Youth albums Dirty gets better with each listen, though it doesn't take to many listens for the brilliantly grungy production to shine through. It seems as if Sonic Youth have attempted a more aggressive and rocky version of their sound on this record and it suits them. The vocals are quite Kim heavy and the guitars a little light on the psychedelics, but otherwise Dirty stands as the obvious successor to Goo. As a S.Y fan I love this album, but those who prefer the more indie side to them may enjoy the likes of Daydream Nation more.
This is one of Sonic Youth's best records. Excellent for grunge and noise rock lovers. From the opening song "100%", you will get the whole soul of the album.
Very good quality
