This is a very nice, small compact camera suited to a person new to digital cameras, who wants good results first time. It is small and easy to use and gives good value for money. I bought it for a niece who is 16 years old and loves to take pictures for personal use and schoolwork. On the minus side, the LCD screen is a bit small and the autofocus light is very bright when taking shots. The screen can be switched of suring use and the view finder used instead, which saves on batteries. I have bought her some high stamina rechargeable battieries for it as she goes through a lot of batteries. All round good camera for the beginner with a good array of features and very few niggles. A bargain if the price is right.
I bought this for my wife as I already have one and really like it. Though it is now a fairly old model, it produces excellent results for a point-and-shoot camera and has the advantage of having a real viewfinder! Admittedly the display is pretty small, but it's adequate for checking the results and setting up the camera. But probably the best thing about it is the speed of response! It's ready for use a couple of seconds after switching on and the shutter-lag is very short. Also, it uses standard AA batteries which are easily available. The only downside is that it is perhaps a little bulky compared with newer similar cameras, but it's not really a problem. And my wife is happy with it!
