A step back in time to when comedy was light hearted without bad language. Great characterisation from the main cast - Ronnie Corbett at his best - its good to see what he can do outside The Two Ronnies! His parents are so old fashioned especialy his mother...unbelievable at times and somewhat frustrating...did these kind of people exist? But then we know they did. They talk about 'helicopter parenting' nowadays; but this must be the ultimate.... We decided to buy this because there is suck a lot of c... on tv , though co-incidentaly this series is currently showing on Sky! We have added it to our old comedy collection and will be watching this again!!
Sorry is one of those series that leaves you cringing at times. It's humour is based on the relationship of domineering mother to son. It is brilliantly played by Ronnie Corbett who suffers from the worlds worst mother. Unable to think, breathe or do anything without Mothers permission he is placed in impossible situations as he tries to become a man in his own right. Catch phrases were 'Sorry' and also 'Language Timothy' are warmly remembered and the series even with time still remains funny and worth a second outing. Probiang
I bought it as I am a fan of Ronnie Corbett. I could remember the series from the 80's. It is a ridicluos concept for a sitcom - a fortysomething still living at home under the thumb of his mother. Very funny in parts and brought back happy memories. My sons, age 9 & 11, thoroughly enjoyed it, or were they being brainwashed!
