I based my purchase on various popular tech lifestyle magazines which have consistently put the E11c and its equally able predecessor the E10c in the top 5 in-ear headphones as the best budget option. Now while £50 may redefine some people's notion of "budget" I do think they are pretty much worth the money in terms of style, build quality and sound output. Dynamic range is good with clear treble and punchy bass. I was fortunate enough to only pay £39.95 for an unboxed set and I would not want to pay much more, as I feel the product becomes a case of "Emperor's new clothes" once you start spending £100s. It's like audiophiles who think they can tell the difference between a £30 18c gold-plated jack and the steel £1.99 cable bundled: very often the product only sounds better because you expect it should, for the money. Nevertheless I do think the E11C is a cut above its Aldi equivalent and I would buy again.Read full review

The sound quality is excellent. Read the what hifi reviews. I've owned a few pairs, mainly because I lose them, and have tried out other brands, but these are the best I've used. I compared them to my Philips Fidelio X2 headphones, and they are very neutral and for iems are awesome#

By far the best in ears I've had, detailed balanced with good but not over the top bass, you won't need an equaliser to get the best out of these, just a good playback resolution and you are sorted. A bargain on Ebay

I wanted some decent wired earphones. Noise cancelling wasn't part of the criteria. I read plenty of 'best of' and 'expert' reviews, often with a pinch of salt but these were the most affordable at the high end. I got them and have been well impressed with the sound quality, as good as the old fashioned cans I used to have. Because they are buds they are pretty decent at blocking out noise. Oh and they come in a nifty little case too
