Very few things we buy are of good value these days. This little beauty is the exception to that rule. I bought this microphone out if curiosity and have now had to eat humble pie because this mic does exactly what I thought it could not do, and more. It is well built, comes well packaged, with a mic lead that should cost as much as this mic actually does. Dont get me wrong this is not the deal of the century but it comes close. I have added this to my mic locker with every expectation of using it on a regular basis.

The Stagg SDM50 is a well designed nicely balanced microphone that is capable of handling many different sound sources from vocals through to percussion, wind and reed instruments and has a pretty decent frequency response to boot. I've bought two as my wife had one and I didn't want to feel left out ;)

I was a bit sceptical about this make, a budget brand. It's not as heavy as a Shure sm58 but for what I paid and what I wanted it for was excellent. Yes I do have a Shure sm58 to compare the two, I was very impressed. Well done Stagg !!
