“Suspect” is an eighties movie (1987) which I always thought was a marvellous performance by Liam Neeson. It also features a young Dennis Quaid and Cher - who surprisingly showed she could act. Also enjoyed the late John Mahoney’s performance. One of those films that remains in the memory re. Mr Neeson, long before the super stardom of the “Taken” franchise. Synopsis: Carl Anderson (Liam Neeson), a deaf, mute and homeless war veteran, is arrested for the murder of a prominent judge's secretary. But Kathleen Riley (Cher), Anderson's lawyer, believes her client is innocent. She sets out to track down the real killer, and, as the trial proceeds, makes an unlikely ally in Eddie Sanger (Dennis Quaid), a jury member. When they aren't in court, the two investigate the case and manage to uncover a massive conspiracy.Read full review

Great movie when it first came out. I had it on VHS and was replacing it on DVD. It still hold up well as a great movie. Liam Neeson’s non-verbal performance is great. Cher and Dennis Quaid are also good. Very enjoyable.
