Very pleased with the kettle even though it is a bit heavy when filled to the maximum level if you are filling it under the tap. But I do like the fact you have choices of having a small cup of water to a full mug. We had a Swan electric kettle bought for us 53 years ago as a wedding present which lasted over 10 years - lets hope we have plenty of years with this Swan Fast Boil Express Cup Hot Water Dispenser as well.

Having seen this I liked the looks of it and plunged right in and bought it. It arrived well packaged. It is very simple to set up. I thought it was in one piece but unlike other designs you can lift it from its base as you would a kettle, take it to the tap to fill it with water. What was the deciding factor for me buying this one cup dispenser was you can adjust the amount of water you want to boil ( unlike other models I have had in the past ). This feature works well. The downside to this one cup dispenser is it does not boil the water hot enough. My instant coffee does not dissolve completely and leaves a thick coffee residue at the bottom of the cup this is due to the water not being hot enough. Maybe I have a faulty machine ? I don't know. If the water boiled hot enough I would have given the Swan Hot Water One Cup Dispenser Kettle 5 STARS.Read full review

Bought this as a present for a friend as her last one stopped working. She tells me that she loves the kettle as it is not noisy like her last one and that she also does not have to keep on filling this one up and she can also have a choice of a mug or cup of tea and the water turns itself off after filling the cup or mug she is a very happy lady.

PROS Ideal product IF you mainly want hot water for one or two drinks, as it only boils the required amount of water for one cup at a time. You can repeat this exercise quickly if you ne3 1-4 cups. In the long run 5his should save electricity, as all too often we boiled far too much water for our needs. CONS Removing the kettle to refill (upto 2 litres) maybe difficult for some given the weight. Ideally you need to fill upto 2 litres each time as you want this to last. The alternative is to remove the kettle and fill from a separate jug. Also, not ideal if you want to fill pans of water or washing bowl, then stick to a kettle in this case Recommended product & sticking to a known brand name gave me peace of mind.
