Its a very cheap thermometer which works well and has plenty of features. stainless probe and long lead and a cheap plastic casing but hey! it does the job. I measured my body temp under tongue at 36 which is pretty reasonable. I wanted a cheap thermometer to experiment on meat and sous vida cooking and this is perfect rather than spend a lot more and maybe use it once.

It looks ideal at a good price, great features as it has a timer and set temp alarm, unfortunately it does not give accurate temperature readings. Measured around 65degC for 20mins then for no reason the reading changed to 110degC. The case is very poor quality and the 'phono' connector for the temp probe does not make a good connection. Spend a little more money and get a longer lasting unit.

This is an excellent temperature probe. I tested it in boiling water and it registered 100*C, so it is quite accurate. Others have complained about the "quality" which I assume they mean the lightweight plastic body -- but I don't hear them complaining about the price. It is accurate and cheap and for something you use occasionally it's.perfect.

This broke down after 1st use - it went from real temps at the beginning to 100s of degrees Celsius (270) when used in a 120C Crockpot (just the tip you supposed to put into the food) then even when left at ambient room temperature of 23C.
