Never had any pastry cutters before. Always cut around cups and glasses or pushed them in to the dough to get round pastry. When I started to make scones by the dozen this got tiresome so I bought these cutters. They make the job so much easier. They are sharp and don't compress the dough so much. They are parallel so they cut without sticking and they are much easier to clean than a cup or tumbler. Because they are thin steel you can get more rounds out of your dough before squashing it up and re-rolling it. A great purchase.

Used one of them to make 3 batches of scones. It's impossible to know how they will wear, will they rust etc., so I have no idea if they are good quality, or good value, yet. Ask me again in a couple of years. Of course the chances of it let me submit this review with 2 yes/no boxes (quality/value) unselected seems remote.

Only used once so far but great for scones. Most of the cutters in the supermarkets are fluted so happy to find a straight edged cutter.
