I needed this to convert some old cassette tapes to MP3, or just simply to get them onto my PC. My old tape decks were worn out, but this did the job and at a great price too. Okay so it's not the sturdiest looking I've ever seen but small "Walkman" style players like this never are, but as long as you look after it I don't see any reason why it wouldn't last for years. Came with free software and instructions - I was recording within minutes of opening the box!

Th USB Cassete to MP3 unit is a compact easy to use handy device .. It's plug and play so straight out of the box it works. The auto reverse funtion is handy for converting both sides of the tape to one file which is then easy to split up into seperate tracks with free and easy to obtain software.

Looked really complicated at first like to set up but was really easy. The final result of turning a cassette onto MP3 was outstanding. I had a concert recording recorded in1988 from radio 1 I wasn't expecting a great result but was actually amazed with the result. I could edit the music as it was recorded on both sides of the cassette so there was no gap when the tape was turned it all melted into one. I was also able to remove an unwanted song that appeared in the middle of the tape on side two. A great bit of kit at a really good price with great editing software. I would definitely recommend if you have an old favourite cassette that you want on your iPhone/iPod.

As a basic player which does the job Adequately, this is Great Value! I've had walkmens all of my adult life, but I needed to go back to some old cassettes for music lessons from long ago, which I need revision on. There aren't any frills, but it plays my old cassettes without chewing 'em up, and fits snuggly into my pocket. Just the one downside - which is typical of many of today's walkmans, be that digital or otherwise - is that the powers that be, fix the volume of these things way too low, which is annoying. So in my case, I wear a pair of noise cancelling earphones so that I can hear the tapes better when in a noisy environment. If you like moderate to low listening volumes though, this unit won't disappoint, verses buying an older unit which if previously used, could chew up those valuable tapes, or if new, comes in at crazy high prices if you only need in the short term. Another bonus of course being, that you can also run into software to convert those old tapes to digital, although isn't something I've yet used. Mr LimpopoRead full review

The recorder works brilliantly. I didn't need to use the supplied recording software as I already have some, so was able to simply plug it into my PC and start recording. The device was recognised with no problems under Windows 10. During the recording I plugged in the supplied headphones to hear what was playing. The sound was broken and kept getting louder and quieter during the play back. At first I thought it was because the recorder was not working but the sound was recorded with no problems on my PC. I listened with a different pair of headphones and the sound was fine which points to the headphones bring at fault. The supplied CD contains information about the product. This information goes into a good amount of detail regarding the supplied software, it's operation and installation. Unfortunately it contains no information regarding the operation of the unit itself. I am familiar with the operation of the players so I figured it out myself but I can't help thinking that some guidance on the instructions would have been useful. Overall I am very pleased with the product. Although the headphones are useless and the instructions are not quite as helpful as they could be.Read full review
