I wanted a basic book about cooking times and mixing just a general guide because i have cooked in the past and have forgotten this fits the bill. I would recommend it for that reason if you want book which is more in depth in this subject then purchase some thing else.
Bought for my recently widowed father in law who is 91 to help with the basics of cooking. He says it has helped with things like how long to put a chicken in the oven for and on what gas mark.
i think a very good book easy to follow clear instructions use of every day ingredients will get plenty of use ten out of ten
