I first knew about the Walt Disney Pictures animated film "The Black Cauldron" during 1997 and I couldn't wait to see it on Walt Disney Home Video since it came out in the UK. Its one of my top favourite films of the 80s because it was released in American Cinemas on my first birthday (24th July 1985). I am real happy to watch The Black Cauldron again because it took me right back to my childhood as well as my early teens in 1990s. From what know and leared, The Walt Disney Company began creating an animated film based on one of the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander which is "The Black Cauldron" since 1984 despite the fact that they're planning to released it in cinemas that same year but it was released on 24th July 1985 though I was a year old when it was first released. The sinister Horned King (voiced by Sir John Hurt) will stop at nothing to get his nasty hands on The Black Cauldron to raise his evil army of deathless warriors despite rise of the sinister dead though some scenes like that have been reated PG by the MMPA in America which means that some scences in the film are not suitable for kids under the age of 8 because of freightening parts of this animated film can scare them. But at the end of the day, This Old School film is well worth watching. Therefore I give The 80s Walt Disney Animated film The Black Cauldron a rating of 5/5.Read full review
