Highly recommended. WW2 atrocity seen through the eyes of an innocent young boy. Easy read in terms of its simplicity of words, but mature readers will read through the lines of what need not be graphically written. I'm not sure of the recommended age range, but my 8 year old and I read it together. Just like the two young children in the book, my child read a lot of this through innocent eyes which made it even more a poignant message to me. Beautifully written.
