have said I would recommend this but for those thinking of walking, myself I don't have focus on her former lives - so did not read it because of that, it was good value for a used book , and the content was compelling to a certain extent, I found the way she dealt with her celebrity status interesting, the fact she was a good age when doing this, yet had stamina to do the walk, and her experiences as she went along all good to read, the throw backs to being a different character in the days of the crusades I found a bit surreal and read as a story within a story. The book gave a taste of the actual walk and some of the individuals she met ( as you do on long distance walks ) while she walked along - it also had historic and spiritual elements to it , so although not everyone's cup of tea, it gave a range of topics within it.Read full review

The best book I have ever read. Loved it from the beginning to the end!

An absolute nonsense of a book. Recycled in my bin. The book apparently sells on the name of Shirley Maclaine or in my case a Camino de Santiago veteran. It has nothing whatsoever to do with a Pilgrimage and if written by someone else would probably have never made the light of day.
