A war film that will appeal to those who prefer a story solely concerned with war and no 'side' stories about wives and girlfriends etc. Great acting and amazing photography on a mountain, given the limited climbing equipment in the 1950's. The film must have been the inspiration for the later film "The Dirty Dozen", methinks. Excellent value for money.

A solid 60s war movie elevated by the scene in which the Canadians arrive at the camp, which has to be one of the greatest screen entrances of all time. Your dad would probably love falling asleep to it after Sunday dinner.

This is one of the best war movies I have watched and the cast are great also the fact that it was based on a true story makes it even better. Would recommend this to anyone without any hesitation.

This movie is an all time classic war movie the likes of that are no longer made. I love older movies and this is one of my favourites.

Really enjoyed it, no women actors really but it had a good theme and William Holden was good and so was his narration in it. The members of the original brigade died which is sad but their legend of their devilish cleverness did not but set the road to shape future special missions
