Not a lot to say as book was gifted to my granddaughter aged about the same as Anne was. As she is Home - Schooled it seemed all the more appropriate because of being an important part of history. Fascinating character who generations so far have felt fond of and want to keep her alive and maybe bring a little justice to by reading her writings.

The story of Anne Frank means more to me being from a Jewish back ground. Reading it to my daughter and watching the sadness and anger of her expressions, I knew she understood how hard a life this girl (of her age 15) had and how she felt about life and her dreams which would never come true for her. Very emotional watching my girl cry has made us cherish the life we have even when things don't go the way we want them to. We all need to think how we would have coped in that situation, most can not even imagine it, it's so horrendous to think what Anne and her family went through but it happened and we as humans can't ever let this happen again. We can not and should not forget Anne and the millions of Jews who suffered at the hands of a mad man.

I have always wanted to read this and so far lives up to all the expectations, with the visit to her annex in Amsterdam, can truly put everything together.
