This Lutyens bench has mortise and tenon joints throughout, that are also pinned with dowels. the courier delivery is way above average, very carefully packed and strapped during transport. Ours turned up at 6.30am which was a bit of a surprise, but welcome as we didn't have to lose a day off work to take delivery. I would advise ringing the courier and not wait for them to call so you know what day it's coming. After consulting with an advisor at the crown decorator center, I decided to use Sadolin outdoor varnish in a matt finish. To bring out the real beauty of the wood, while leaving a natural finish that should last for years As Teak oils need to be re-applied regularly about every 3-6 months and fully scrubbed clean with special detergents every 12 months to prevent the finish from going grey.Read full review

Beautiful set of table and chairs, the wood is very dense and has a lovely colour, we used a clear oil to bring out the natural colour and grain. Chairs stack away very neatly and table is easy to extend and reduce. Couldn't have asked for more and at such exceptional value. Would highly recommend!

A solid, well made bench in the classic Lutyens style that looks great in my garden. Arrived earlier than expected. I haven’t wasted time, money and effort putting on ‘Teak Oil’ as internet research revealed that this wasn’t necessary as good quality Teak contains it’s own oils.
