All i can say is,what a classic early 80's movie. I watched this as a kid and have not stopped watching since. The story is set in china in the early 19th century and is filmed entirely on location in Asia A hammer horror/shaw brothers movie production that was made due to the high popularity of both genres of horror movies and the mixed martial arts movies back in the eighties. The story is easy to follow although some what cheesy but this is what makes the film stand out from the rest. All the characters do well in their roles for such a small budget, and the film locations and fighting sequences are mesmerising for such a new project at the time. The hilarious walking/bouncing along zombie dead and the ghastly ghoulish looking samauri weilding vampires are a great laugh. Peter cushing adds his usual mystique and flair as expected from a hammer horror legend, which was good timing as this was the last ever hammer horror production made. I believe this film gave writer/director ( john Carpenter ) his ideas and inspiration to go on and make the classic 90's movie "Big trouble in little china". This film is a must see for all fans of both genres of horror or martial arts movies and also anybody who just likes to watch a cheesy fun filled kick ass action horror movie. Take it for what it is a classic masterpiece of eighties style horror 10/10Read full review

In my opinion this film is a five star product because it is available on dvd disc. and not everyone has a Blu-ray player to watch it on. The good thing about it is Hammer film fans will love it.

The DVD was cheap enough and it arrived prompltly and in perfect condition. The only problem is that it is totally worthless, as it will not play on an American DVD player. It seems that it was made for play in a different zone (Europe) and when I insert it in the machine, all i get is WRONG ZONE. I find it amazing that anybody should even be allowed to offer items such as this without proper warn- ing to the buying public. I consider my money to have been no less than STOLEN, as I did NOT get a USABLE product. I truly hope that you give me a chance to return this item for a refund, because if you don't, I doubt if I will ever buy anything else ever again from you. Count me as a very DISSATISFIED and DISAPPOINTED customer. Carlos R. Garcia
One of the more esoteric of the Hammer vampire movies combining Kung Fu and Vampires , Peter Cushing great as ever only downside no Christopher Lee as Dracula . Will probably upgrade to the Shout Factory Blu Ray.
