Bought this book immediately after reading The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry which I highly recommend. Book came very quick and I was pleasantly surprised to find I had in fact ordered a hardback book!

This is a great book to read and follows on from the first book in the series, the unlikely pilgrimage of Harold fry. I read it in two days! A little bit sad and I felt I was there with Queenie while she was writing but with a satisfying twist at the end which I didn't see coming. Mesmerising.

Warmly and subtly told story of a love which social convention demanded stay unspoken. It deeply moulded the lives of both Harold and Queenie, eventually bringing joy in its own way. beautiful interweaving and description of nature - and symbolism which might be missed, but which adds richness and recognition to the narrative.

This is such a lovely story, though very sad. Follows on from Rachel Joyce's Harold Fry book. Would definitely recommend.

Compelling story, but read the one about Harold Fry first, so it all fits together. I thought this book would be very sad, but it wasnt. A good story, wellwritten.
