This, the follow up album to the mega-successful Pocketful Of Kryptonite, is for me an equal - if not better album. It features the single Cleopatra's Cat which I remember thinking was totally different to anything in the charts at the time. That's the thing about the Spin Doctors - you either Love 'em or ya Hate 'em. Personally at a time when grunge was getting everybody down and wearing dirty clothes the Doctors of Spin were a breath of fresh air. Combining the almost scat-like stoner vocals of Chris Barron with one of the tightest and funkiest outfits around at that time, they breezed into our lives for a period, then seemed to just disappear from the public radar. This album, as with all of them (if you cam find them) is full of overlooked gems of music which pushes the boundries just a little further than the average white funky band!Read full review
