Bringing their hilarious brand of character comedy to the stage, Mitchell and Webb treat us with such classics as the drunken snooker commentators, incompetent space heroes, Numberwang and so many more, this however could be its only downfall, for experienced Mitchell and Webb fans there's not a lot of new material here. Saying that the quality of their comedy is never in question and being a live show definately gives it a different dimension. An extremely funny collection of characters just beware if you know the material and are looking for something entirely new.
This is absolutely hilarious! Me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed watching it, we creased up throughout the DVD! Each new sketch is hilariously different, with David Mitchell and Robert Webb's unique comedy styles!
All the sketches that first caused me to fall in love with Mitchell & Webb in the first place. The humour is superficially glossy with very dark undertones (the Nazi dawn-of-realisation has caused me to undergo a brief reality check before most of my daily actions). These sketches, which were filmed on tour, were originally recorded for radio as the 'Mitchell & Webb sound', and also filmed in studio and screened as the 'Mitchell & Webb look'. In comparison to the TV version, the presentation on stage seems a little wooden and sometimes ill-timed - though be assured, the genius humour is the same. ajb
i bought this item as i was a big fan of the peep show and that mitchell and webb look, its a poor shadow of that programme and is frankly a waste of time.
Havent watched it yet but im sure if the comedy series "The Peep Show" is anything to go by, i'd imagine its wickedly funny!
