from july 1914 to 1919 march the wipers times gives a great understanding on how the men not the generals give so much with a funny side of events grandad was shot in the knee at the somme battle ,but was sent back after 59 days in reading hospital ,the generals was never shot so thankyou to the wipers times for this important part of HISTORY. its a great read.
