You can pay, well pay whatever you like for a wrist watch, don't bother. For less than £30 the Timex expedition is stunning, it's an absolutely brilliant little watch. I read a magazine article not long ago that listed the 'words best watches', the prices started a £6,000 what utter nonsense. The 'Expedition' should have been up there with them. OK why? Firstly it's accurate, this is my second in 15 years, simply because the case was showing signs of wear and tear on my first, I'm an archaeologist and gave it a a real beating over the years. Secondly I found the accuracy to be better than 10 seconds a year, I can live with that! Finally the back illuminated dial is so good it serves as a miniature torch, let alone letting you see the time in the dark, far better than any luminous hands (which it has anyway). Get the right model and the winder is shrouded (important for outdoor work where the winder can snag). And did I mention the price.....downside? yes I had to change the battery after five years or so, did it myself, an expensive job, the battery cost me nearly a quid. And no I don't have any connection with Timex!Read full review

Would be 5 star but bezel not easy to use as a bit tucked away!

Very lightweight watch, I wear mine all the time. The watch will last years, sadly the strap won’t it’s very hard to find a replacement strap. Cheaper to buy a new watch.
