I bought this book with expectations of down to earth recipes etc and whilst I admire TK for his fantastic weight loss, this book, which he has obviously put an enormous amount of time into writing up his goals/ ideas/ is just not your every day recipe book if you're real busy people with real busy lives. The recipes are long, prep times for mains are lengthy and you'd need a real love of all spices to fully appreciate it. I can't eat a lot of spices and certain foods I can't tolerate physically ( won't bore you) gave me a sinking feeling when I read it. I now wish I'd thumbed it in tesco first to see the recipes but that's just me. It may be fantastic if you can eat almost anything and have enough day time hrs to do it. I gave it a 3 because of TK input himself, not many books have that depth of input by the chef so hats off to his massive determination and success but it's left me rather disappointed. Bought this book after seeing the main man on TV, thought I'd try it for a month & cut out the alcohol as well to see what the result would be. Good advice & great tasty recipes that are easy to follow, didn't feel hungry at all. The main meal & omelettes are superb. I lost 2 stones so I've decided to carry on for a couple more months & add in some exercise routines to see what effect this adds. Can't recommend this book enough.

Very disappointed to get this book only to discover that I have found only 1 recipe from his current TV series. I purchased it thinking great all the recipes will be in it ....how wrong I was ! To me there are some expensive ingredients I just simply cannot afford to buy and on the other hand where on earth do you buy some of these ingredients?? .
